For the first time in Morrow County FFA history, the chapter took seven members and three chaperones to Indianapolis, IN for the 80th Annual National FFA Convention! Among the members were Ashley Anderson, Jasmine Wagner, Patrick Barron, Makayla Anderson, Angel Rodelo, Casey McClure, and Samantha Egge. The members left the Portland Airport on Tuesday, the 23rd, after school and arrived in Indianapolis early Wednesday morning. The trip consisted of many historical and some not-so historical visitations such as the Henry Clay estate, Churchill Downs, the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and more. The students were also able to quickly visit the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville campuses. This was an unremarkable experience for those who went, including Wagner, who is hoping to run for a state office. It also throttled McClure, M. Anderson, and Barron to continue with their state degrees at the 2008 State Convention.
