The founder of the White Bison invited Nixyaawii Community School senior Isaiah Welch to sing at the organization's conference in Minneapolis in April.

White Bison is a non-profit organization which offers sobriety, recovery, addictions prevention and wellness resources to American Indians.

Don Coyhis, the organization's founder, visited the Umatilla Indian Reservation last November.

He heard Welch sing at a conference in Oklahoma three years ago.

In addition to singing with White Bison in April, Welch said he hopes to become more involved with the organization.
