Wildhorse fundraiser provides super donation

Raffle prizes donated through Wildhorse Resort & Casino vendors helped raise money during the sports bar´s annual Super Bowl party, which is donated to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Money raised from a Super Bowl party at Wildhorse Resort & Casino brought in $4,262 for the Wounded Warriors Project.

For the third year, Kevin Haid, sports bar manager, teamed up with Wildhorse vendors for the donation of prizes. Raffle tickets were sold at the sports bar during the Feb. 1 Super Bowl game. Lucky fans went home with prizes like pool tables, barbecues, city cruiser bikes and NFL branded merchandise. But the big winners are veterans who receive assistance through the Wounded Warrior Project. Last year’s event raised $3,000 and Haid had a goal of $4,000 this year.

“We are thrilled with the outcome,” Haid said. “Surpassing our expectations is always a great feeling, especially when it is going to a great cause like the Wounded Warriors.”
