IONE - Oregon State University scientists will be among the speakers at the annual Wheat Production Seminar from 7 a.m. to noon Feb. 12 at the Willows Grange on North Main Street.

Larry Lutcher, OSU Morrow County extension agent, said speakers will direct their comments to wheat producers in the low precipitation zone, 8-12 inches of annual rainfall.

Don Wysocki, a soil scientist, will provide an overview of realistic, alternative fuel opportunities for growers. Dan Ball, a weed scientist, will discuss chemical control options for this year's cheatgrass problem. Bill Schillinger of Washington State University will talk about summer-fallow management.
