PENDLETON - There's still time to donate books to the 24th annual Pendleton Friends of the Library book sale, scheduled Oct. 1 and 2 at the Pendleton Convention Center.

Books in good condition can be brought to the Pendleton Public Library or to collection boxes in town at Banner Bank, Bank of America, Columbia River Bank, Community Bank, First Bank, Round-Up Athletic Club, Curves for Women, East Oregonian, the lobby of the John Murray Building, Pendleton elementary schools, Sunridge Middle School, Pendleton High School and the library at Blue Mountain Community College.

No magazines, textbooks or Reader's Digest condensed books are accepted.

The book sale opens at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, and runs through 8 p.m. It will be open again Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The remaining books will be sold for $1 per bag from 3-5 p.m. Saturday.

A pre-sale for Pendleton Friends of the Library members only will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30.
