Computers donated to school district

PILOT ROCK - The Pilot Rock School District recently received a gift of 10 computers and monitors from Columbia River Bank.

All the computers should be up and running for students after the holidays, said Pilot Rock superintendent Gordon Munck.

"They'll go into one of the computer labs in the high school to replace some of the much slower machines," Munck added. "A lot of these are quite a bit newer. These will be functional for a really long time."

The donation saved the district between $10,000 and $12,000 Munck said.

"It allowed us to upgrade some things we should be upgrading, but couldn't afford to," he added.
