PENDLETON - The Pendleton School District will recommend Kenneth Lebsock of Pendleton as the new facilities manager for the district at the school board's April 13 board meeting.

Lebsock was one of 28 applicants to apply for the position. He will replace Don Hammon, who will retire June 30 after more than 30 years with the district.

Tricia Baker, Human Resources director, said there were a lot of qualified applicants and Lebsock's background is an ideal fit for this position.

"We're excited to have him with us," she said. "He has strong ties to the Pendleton community."

Lebsock, owner of Pendleton Heating and Air Conditioning and THEWS Sheet Metal, serves on the Blue Mountain Community College Budget Committee (since 2004) and the Pendleton City Club, was a member of the Pendleton Planning Commission (1998-2007) and has participated in Leadership Pendleton (class of 1999).

A graduate of Pendleton High School, Lebsock completed his apprenticeship in the sheet metal trade in 1982 and a refrigeration apprenticeship in 1989. Lebsock holds licenses in refrigeration, pipe fitting and limited low voltage.
