Drivers can expect traffic delays today and Thursday on Interstate 84 and I-82 as a 21-foot-wide load makes its way from Idaho.

A news release from the Oregon Department of Transportation said the extra large load will enter Oregon from Idaho around 9 today on U.S. 95/U.S. 30, then connect to I-84 in Ontario.

The large transport is heading to Washington.

Due to the loadÂ’s width and height, the transport vehicle could slow down at bridges and narrow shoulder areas.

Pilot cars in front and back will control traffic as needed when the load is expected to take up more than one lane of freeway to avoid hitting structures.

ODOT suggested drivers plan extra travel time and watch for occasional rolling slowdowns near the large transport.
