BOARDMAN — A training exercise scheduled for Wednesday at the Boardman Bombing Range could kick up dust and shake the ground, though the U.S. Navy says safety precautions are in place to protect people and property.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Detachment Northwest, based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, will practice explosive demolition operations during daylight hours at the range, located south of Interstate 84 near Boardman.

The exercises pose no threat to public safety. Anyone with questions or concerns should call the NAS Whidbey Island Public Affairs Office at 360-257-2286.
