ECHO - The Echo School District welcomed four new teachers to its staff for the 2004-2005 school year.

Jake Bacon is a new junior high and elementary P.E. and high school health teacher. He's a 1994 Ione High School graduate and later attended Blue Mountain Community College. He graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a bachelor of science degree in physical education and health. He is the junior high football coach at Echo.

Amo Estrada teaches six subjects at Echo: algebra 1, high school math, Spanish 1 and 2, eighth grade science, and seventh grade computers. Estrada graduated from Pendleton High School and completed his undergraduate degree at Eastern Oregon University. He received his master's in education from Concordia University in Portland with endorsements in math, business and Spanish.

Karen Sue Goodwater is a new special education teacher at Echo who also has an art endorsement. She began her education at Blue Mountain Community College, then transferred to Eastern Oregon University in La Grande for her teaching degree.

Anna Zolotoff is Echo's new English teacher. She graduated from Newburg High School and graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove with a degree in literature with a minor in theater. She also attended Eastern Oregon University and earned her master's in teacher education.
