PORTLAND - The environmental organization Ecotrust received a $400,000 grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for removing or restoring culverts to improve fish passage, small-dam removal and riverbank restoration during the coming year. Ecotrust will conduct the work in several watersheds, including the Rogue, John Day, Umpqua and Sandy in Oregon and the Lewis, Methow, Twisp and Skagit in Washington.
