PENDLETON - Although it's still waiting on the installation of a storefront sign, the Fastenal supply store, located at 1733 S.W. Court Ave., in the old Joann Fabrics building, is open for business.

"The only advertising we have now is our truck driving around," said manager Caleb Suttle. But, he said, "Word of mouth is really getting around."

Fastenal Company is a construction and industrial supplier, operating stores internationally and in all 50 states.

The new store carries everything from nuts, bolts and power tools to janitorial equipment.

"There's a lot of things we carry here that nobody else does," he said, citing 15 different product lines and a warranty for brands such as Craftsman. "Our nuts and bolts are our bread and butter."

"We're not just a wholesale store," he added, welcoming anybody to stop in to look around. "We're here to help Pendleton businesses and workers solve their supply challenges and achieve their goals."

With regional distribution centers, Suttle said, the new Pendleton location can handle large and small orders alike.

Fastenal is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
