FLORENCE - Lane County sheriff's deputies said disputes over trespassing, pets and other issues led to the shooting deaths of two Florence neighbors.

Teddy W. Sellers, 63, was shot Friday morning in front of a home southeast of Florence and died at a Springfield hospital Saturday.

Guy A. Frazier, 57, was found dead near his home early Saturday, an apparent suicide victim.

Deputies said the two had engaged in ongoing disputes that turned violent Friday morning after Sellers allegedly injured Frazier's cat.

Investigators said Frazier confronted Sellers in front of Sellers' house. A bullet hit Sellers in the head.

While emergency crews were en route, Frazier apparently went to an outbuilding on his own property and took his own life, authorities said.

Both men lived alone.
