A Morrow County grand jury will decide whether to indict Heppner High School teacher Wendy Cannin this week. The district placed Cannin on administrative leave several days ago after she was accused of inappropriate contact with minors during after-school hours.

The Morrow County Sheriff's Office questioned several people connected with the case. Morrow County District Attorney Elizabeth Ballard informed the school district Friday that she would convene a grand jury early this week,

Cannin has taught at ?Heppner Junior/Senior High School for the past two years. She taught junior high math, business, and a yearbook class. She also coached junior high track, according to the school's Web site.

Superintendent Mark Burrows said Cannin has been a "super" teacher.
