LA GRANDE - The Grande Ronde Hospital in La Grande won an award from leadership in innovated excellence.

The Eastern Oregon hospital won the award during the recent Rural Hospital Summit Awards in Salem. The Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems, in collaboration with the Oregon Office of Rural Health and the Oregon Rural Healthcare Quality Network, honored several rural hospitals at the event. Andy Davidson, president and CEO of OAHHS, and Sen. Ted Ferrioli, the Oregon Senate Republican leader, presented the awards.

Grande Ronde Hospital's innovative solutions to improve health access, cost containment and quality earned the hospital the recognition, an OAHHS news release said.
