RICHLAND, Wash. — The Tri-Party Agreement  agencies will conduct three public meetings this month to discuss Hanford cleanup progress, challenges, and priorities.

The Tri-Party Agreement involves the U.S. Department of Energy, which operates the Hanford Site, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the State of Washington Department of Ecology.

Decision makers from those agencies will be on hand to hear from the public about Hanford topics of interest.

The Richland public meeting is Wednesday at the Red Lion Hotel, 802 George Washington Way.

It will begin with an open house at 6 p.m. and follows with a town hall at 7 p.m. A screening of the “Hanford Story” video will start at 6:45 p.m.

The Seattle meeting will be March 29 at the Seattle Center’s Olympic Room Northwest Building, 305 Harrison St.

The Portland meeting will be March 31 at the Red Lion Hotel, 909 N. Hayden Island Drive. The Hanford Advisory Board will also be meeting there from March 31 to April 1.

Those with specific topics to discuss should send an e-mail to stateofsite11@rl.gov. For more information, visit www.hanford.gov/page.cfm/StateoftheHanfordSite.
