PENDLETON — The Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center is sponsoring the Healing Journey Conference with Dr. Gabor Mate March 16 and 17 at Wildhorse Resort and Casino, 72777 Highway 331, Pendleton.  Dr. Mate, author of “In The Realm of the Hungry Ghost” and other books, is an internationally acclaimed speaker on the issue of chronic addiction.

The sessions run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and lunch in included. Continuing education units (CEUs)  are available.

Registration for the conference is $125 for one day or $200 for both days. There is no charge for CTUIR tribal members, YTHC or CTUIR employees, and scholarships are available for those unable to pay the registration fee.  A special rate at Wildhorse Hotel also is available by calling 800-654-9453; register under “Healing Conference.”
