HELIX - School board members agreed to a solution to their recent difficulties by planning to offer Superintendent Barbara Ceniga a one year contract and form a committee to determine the best option for the school's administration.
The board met Wednesday night for an executive session during which they addressed recent issues the board faced, including those regarding the school's administration and administration plans.
After over four hours of deliberation, the board reached its decision, and voted unanimously in open session.
Those in attendance included board chair Jay Spratling and board members Jim Williams, Larry Parker and Wade Muller and legal council to the board Sam Tucker.
The board also accepted the resignation of Tom Winn, declaring a vacancy in his place. It decided to appoint a replacement by accepting application letters from the community. The board will accept letters no later than Feb. 7 and discuss them at the next scheduled board meeting on Feb. 14.
