HERMISTON — Hermiston Fire and Emergency Services is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the arson fire that extensively damaged a pickup Oct. 29.

About 10:55 p.m., Hermiston police and fire departments were dispatched to a vehicle fire at the Hermiston Irrigation District office, 366 E. Hurlburt Ave. A white 1998 Dodge Ram pickup had been set on fire within a fenced compound.

Lt. Jason Edmiston of the Hermiston police said the reward is being offered through the International Association of Arson Investigators. Police are asking specifically for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
