The Hermiston city council expressed its displeasure with Congress Monday night by passing a resolution urging the nation’s legislative body to stop playing politics with transportation funding.

“This is not some abstract thing,” city manager Ed Brookshier told the council, noting that Hermiston gets more than $200,000 a year for road repairs from the federal Highway Trust Fund.
