HERMISTON — Dena Adrienne Faulstich, 38, of Hermiston pleaded not guilty Thursday in state court to multiple counts related to drugs crimes. Faulstich, also known as Nikki Nicole Raethke, according to court records, is in the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, on $40,000 bail.

A secret indictment led to Faulstich's arrest Wednesday, court records show, and Thursday she pleaded not guilty to three counts of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one of conspiracy to deliver and five counts of first-degree child neglect. The state accused her of committing the crimes Oct. 15 and Nov. 6. Court records show she has previous convictions for meth possession.

Circuit Court Judge Dan Hill of the Sixth Judicial District set Dec. 19 to hear if Faulstich and the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office are working out a plea deal, and set Dec. 23 to check on the case before trial begins Jan. 7, 2014.
