An Irrigon woman injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday was cited for a traffic violation on Highway 730.

Edith D. Jones, 85, was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center with injuries after she allegedly sideswiped a vehicle driven by a Washington man.

Jones is listed in good condition and was under observation at Good Shepherd on Tuesday afternoon, according to Mark Ettesvold, public relations director at Good Shepherd.

Jones was cited for failing to stay within her lane, according to an Oregon State Police report.

Jones was driving a white Ford Taurus westbound in the eastbound lane on Highway 730 when she ran into a 1996 GMC pickup driven by Jeffrey P. Wilcox, OSP said.

The incident occurred at milepost 180 of Highway 730 at about 6:50 p.m. Personnel from Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District responded after 7 p.m., according to Fire Chief Mike Roxbury.

Umatilla Rural Fire personnel transported Jones to Good Shepherd.
