ALBANY - A former Harrisburg man has been sentenced to more than six years in prison for the death of a friend in a drunken-driving crash last year.

A judge sentenced 24-year-old Casey Douglas Kelley, now of Newberg, on Friday to 75 months in prison for the one-vehicle rollover that killed 23-year-old Rustan James Johnston of Marcola.

The Albany Democrat-Herald reported that Kelley also will lose his driving privileges for eight years.

Kelley pleaded no contest earlier this month to charges of manslaughter and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

His blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit when the pickup he was driving missed a curve on July 3, 2008, rolling over several times and killing Johnston.
