CONDON/MORO - U. S. Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., will be in Sherman and Gilliam counties Saturday to conduct several town hall meetings. Oregon's newest senator will be at the Senior Center in Moro at 9:30 a.m. and at the Gilliam County Courthouse in Condon at 1 p.m.

Merkley has pledged to hold town hall meetings in all 36 Oregon counties. His first session was in his native Douglas County. Gilliam and Sherman will represent his second and third such appearances.

Merkley said his purpose is to update constituents on his work in Washington, D.C., and to hear from those he represents.
