MILTON-FREEWATER — Riders can use Milton-Freewater’s bus program for free this summer. The city council Monday night approved the proposal to charge no fee to ride the city’s fixed-route bus program.

The bus operates Monday through Friday, making three trips daily with stops in Milton-Freewater, College Place and Walla Walla from June 11 through Aug. 29. The city’s bus and van each have a wheelchair lift and two tie-down stations. There also is a bike rack on both vehicles.

“Anyone using the city bus program will do so at zero cost,” according to a statement from the city.

Check out the city’s bus schedule at www.mfcity.com or the little square QR code using your smart phones. If you have further questions, please contact the human resource department at Milton-Freewater City Hall, 541-938-8243.
