HEPPNER - The Morrow County Court will meet later than usual this week and hold a public hearing concerning whether to support a Love's Travel Stop's full-service gas station near Boardman. The Court will meet Wednesday at noon in the upstairs courtroom at the Morrow County Courthouse in Heppner. They will start with an executive session to consider preliminary negotiations involving matters of trade or commerce, which is not open to the general public. They will then open the meeting and discuss discretionary fund requests, purchase preauthorizations and various contracts, among other items.

The Love's Travel Stops hearing is at 1:30. The court will decide whether to uphold a planning commission decision to allow a land partition for the purpose of selling land to the company. A lawyer for Devin Oil is contesting the decision.
