HEPPNER - Deputies from the Morrow County Sheriff's Office apprehended a fugitive from justice Wednesday morning at a remote cabin in the Blue Mountains southeast of Heppner.

Michael Dean Lynch, 50, was wanted for violating his probation for second- degree burglary and had been evading local authorities for several months. Deputies arrested him without incident and charged him with probation violation and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Deputies booked Lynch into the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton. His bail is $6,000.
