MILTON-FREEWATER - The Muddy Frogwater Festival last weekend included competitions in everything from karaoke and frog jumping to pretty babies and softball.

Results of the various events included:

•Karaoke: first, Catherine Jones; second, Candi Eslinger; third, Katrina Manning.

•Frog Jumping: 12 heats were held. The winner of each heat raced in the finals. Grand prize winners: Alicia Lancaster and Sarah Bates.

•Pretty Baby Contest: first, Christian DeVore; second, Matthew Watkins; best dressed, Alora Jones; best personality, Josie Reyes; best behaved, alexander Krzyanek.

•Softball Tournament: first, Hermiston; second, Kelly's of Milton-Freewater; third, Pendleton.

•3-0n-3 Basketball: Proceeds from the tournament benefit the basketball programs at McLoughlin High School.

Mixed, 3rd-5th grade - Fifth grade B-Ballaholics of Walla Walla (Josh Eggers, Hayden Fullerton, Jason Klicker and Colton Bickelhaupt) defeated the Thunderbolts of Hermiston (Cheyanne Lawson, Crystal Schmidt, Gracie Flyg, Karly Knutz).

Female, 6th-8th grade - Walla Walla Lady Hoops (Samantha Hernandez, Heather Cantu, Abbey REarden, Madison Baxter) went undefeated. Second place: Super Hoopers of Milton-Freewater (Ada Kwaidah, Kayla Wright, Kalley VanOcker, Shanna Hall).

Male, 6th-8th grade - Hermiston Big Dawgs (Cody Humphrey, Timmy Naylor, Johnny Kyembe, Alex Aldridge) pulled an upset, defeating the unbeaten Blisters of Athena-Weston (Ryan Webb, Vaughn Wiggins, Brian Duke, Brandon Ramirez) 20-13 in the championship game. The Blisters had beaten the Big Dawgs 14-13 in pool play earlier.

Male, High School - CCC of Walla Walla and College Place (Derek Schmidt, Daniel Delp, Keith Egbert, Luis Prado) went undefeated. Second place: G-Unit of Milton-Freewater (Marcos Betancourt, Favian Garcia, Juan Gomez, Victor Corona.

Male, open division - The Ballers of Walla Walla (David Bingham, Kirk Huffy, Tanner Mink, Dan Huffy) went undefeated. Second place: BSO of Walla Walla and College Place (Eric Dawes, Danny Watkins, David Moreno, Jesse Manson.
