SALEM - The administrator of the embattled state data center has resigned.

State officials won't say anything about the departure of Mark Reyer other than that it was "immediate" and for "personal reasons."

The $64 million data center drew attention last summer after a critical state audit found the project began without a detailed inventory of computer needs among state agencies and the center was built without detailed plans for what would go inside.

Deputy administrator Julie Bozzi replaced Reyer.
