The Oregon Facilities Authority has scheduled a teleconference public meeting Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., to conduct general business and will then hold an executive session for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating the performance of its chief executive officer.

The OFA is the state agency that facilitates the issuance of tax exempt conduit revenue bonds for nonprofit organizations throughout the state. When a 501(c)(3) organization doing business in Oregon desires to build, purchase, construct or remodel or acquire facilities to be used in its tax exempt mission, it may benefit from the issuance of tax-exempt bonds at low interest rates. OFA bonds also can be used to refinance existing debt that was used to acquire facilities.
