Oregon's 12.2 percent unemployment rate in August landed as the fourth-highest in the country, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Friday.

The seasonally adjusted figure is tied with California, behind only three states:?Rhode Island (12.8 percent), Nevada (13.2 percent) and Michigan (15.2 percent). Oregon's jobless rate ranked as high as second-worst earlier this year.
