PENDLETON - An organizational meeting for a new youth-service organization, Leos, is planned for 7:15 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church parlor, 215 N. Main St.

Youth ages 12-17 and their parents are welcome to attend.

Sponsored by the Round-Up Lions and the Pendleton Lions, the Leos perform a wide range of after-school community services and fund-raisers depending on their interests. Common service projects include tutoring school children, visiting the elderly, planting trees, distributing drug education information and outings for mentally challenged youth.

For more information about Leos, call Jerry Linville at 276-0967.
