ENTERPRISE - The city of Pendleton has been awarded $100,000 by the Northeast Oregon Alliance to help with the expansion of Keystone RV Co.
The grant, which is expected to go with a $3.13 million cash match, was among five totaling $264,944 that the alliance granted earlier this month for job-creating economic development projects.
Also in Umatilla County, Blue Mountain Growers Inc. a cooperative, was granted $14,000 to increase the number of acres in production. It will be paired with a $56,000 cash match.
In Union County, the city of La Grande received a $100,000 grant to be coupled with a $6.45 million cash match, for the Oregon Dental Service expansion.
In Wallowa County, the alliance granted $32,000 to Community Smallwood Solutions, a private firm, to put with $101,000 to develop post and pole value-added manufacturing. It also granted $18,944 to Wallowa County Business Facilitation to go with $95,776 for one-on-one business coaching for entrepreneurs.
The Northeast Oregon Alliance is a board of volunteers that manages Oregon Lottery money set aside for regional economic development investments.
"The board members carefully considered all applicants and were very pleased with the quality of the projects," said Lisa Dawson of the alliance staff.
