Pendleton police arrested two people Thursday night in connection with breaking into vehicles near St. Anthony Hospital.

Police received a report at 11 p.m. Thursday of a man walking on Southeast Byers Avenue toward St. Anthony Hospital and looking into vehicles. The reporter also said the man got in a vehicle and took a bag.

Police responded and arrested Justin William Hoyt, 32, and Donavon Anne Cree, 22, and jailed both suspects in the Umatilla County Jail.

Police arrested Hoyt on several probable cause charges, including four counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and one count each of burglary II, theft I, trespass II, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct II.

Cree also faces several probable causes charges, including five counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and a count each of burglary II, theft I and criminal trespass II.

According to information on the Umatilla County Jail Web site, Cree is no longer in the jail, but Hoyt is. His bonds total $46,000, including $20,000 for the counts of illegally entering vehicles. Cree's bond totaled $42,000, including $25,000 for the five counts of unlawful entry.
