Rollover kills Condon woman

A 62-year-old Condon woman was killed on Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash in Gilliam County.

A 62-year-old Condon woman died Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Gilliam County.

According to a press release from Oregon State Police, troopers and emergency responders arrived at the scene near milepost 13 on Lone Rock Road shortly after 8 a.m.

They found a crashed 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe and the body of Karen Buell, who had died at the scene.

The investigation showed the Tahoe was heading east on the road when it left the roadway and rolled down the steep embankment. The reason for the crash is unknown.

OSP was assisted by the Gilliam County Sheriff’s Office, South Gilliam County Fire and Gilliam County Road Department.
