Salmonellosis linked to the Marie Callender brand of frozen food entrees is still plaguing at least 15 states including Oregon, public health officials reported this morning.
The outbreak - which has sickened at least 30 people in 15 states - has been linked to Cheesy Chicken and Rice. Health officials said they are concerned the item has not been removed from grocery store shelves and household freezers.
Oregon Department of?Agriculture inspected stores throughout the state on Tuesday and found the recalled product in more than one store.
Two cases in Oregon have been confirmed by laboratory cultures. Both have since recovered and there have been no deaths nationwide.
ConAgra, which owns the Marie Callender brand, has yet to determine the cause of the outbreak.
