Serving those who serve

Volunteers serve Oregon National Guard soldiers Saturday at the first-ever "Feed the Troops"?lunch in Pendleton. The event, organized by Athena Christian Church, served close to 150 troops and their family members at the Pendleton Convention Center, said organizer Karen Mathson. Each of the soldiers who attended will deploy to Iraq later this year. Businesses including and several local groups gave food and money to make the event happen, Mathson said. "Literally everything was donated,"?she said.
