Crews from Umatilla Electric Co-op are working to restore power but customers in remote locations may have to wait until Wednesday to get power back online.

UEC customers in Emigrant Park, Deadman Pass, Langdon Lake, Meadowood, Gibbon and the Reed and Hawley area are experiencing continued outages, the power company said Monday. Approximately 200 customers are still without power.

Remote locations and snow are a few of the reasons it may several days before power is restored.

The outages began around 6 a.m. during Friday's wind storm when heavy trees fell onto power lines.

On Friday, UEC repaired the Weston Mountain line to Spout Springs.

On Saturday crews restored power to Cunningham Road, Lincton Camp, Emigrant Park, portions of the Langdon Lake area and east of Cayuse on the Umatilla River.

UEC asks members without service to call 567-6414 or (800) 452-2273 so the company can adjust and maintain its outage list.
