PENDLETON - The former St. Anthony Hospital Urgent Care Clinic has changed its name to the St. Anthony We Care Clinic and is moving into a roomier facility. The current clinic, across the street from the hospital, will close June 25. The new clinic will re-open June 29 at 1312 SW 2nd Street just off Nye Avenue and down from the Red Lion Inn.

The building formally housed the Wee Care Day Care operations for children of hospital staff and community members. Since the Urgent Care Clinic opened two years ago, usage has gone from 200 patients a month to over 1,000.

"The great need for health care in Pendleton is the reason St. Anthony Hospital has expanded the Clinic," said hospital spokesman Larry Blanc.

An open house on June 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. will allow area residents to tour the facility and meet the medical staff. The We Care Clinic's first day of operations will be Monday, June 29 with hours the same as before, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number is 276-8183.
