PENDLETON - Oregon Housing and Community Services will conduct a meeting this week to gather ideas for using funding received from House Bill 2436.

The Pendleton forum will be one of five throughout the state. It is scheduled Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pendleton Parks and Recreation Center Foundation Room, Gymnasium Building, west of city hall, 500 S.W. Dorion Ave.

HB 2436 establishes fees for recording documents in county deed and mortgage records. The amounts collected will go to OHCS to fund the department's housing programs.

The other forums are scheduled in Roseburg, Bend, Portland and Salem.
