IRRIGON - The Oregon Department of Transportation's contractor, Weaver Construction, will close Highway 730 between Interstate 84 and Irrigon for three days starting at 5 a.m. on Oct. 22 for repair on two bridges.

Workers will direct traffic around Highway 730 via Interstate 84 and Interstate 82. The road will open again at 2 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Motorists can expect minor delays and temporary signals controlling traffic movements prior to and after the closure. This is the second full closure of the route needed for repairing the UPRR Clarke and USRS Canal bridges. The bridge repair project is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 15.
