HERMISTON - There is nothing like the flash and color of a pinata to liven a party's atmosphere.

Some unique pinatas can be found at Tienda TLALOC in Hermiston. Reyna and Ed Sandoval are owners of store that features a large variety of products from Mexico. The couple also hand makes the pinatas, using a method they learned while attending school in Mexico.

The pinatas come in three sizes and can be customized for special occasions. Pinatas may feature a photo of the guest of honor.

"I made one last year for a lady or her husband. Instead of Winnie the Pooh it had a picture of her husband," Reyna said.

The Tienda TLALOC also features a wide selection of Spanish language music tapes and CDs as well as baptism and first communion clothing. Those looking for herbs and Mexican spices or Spanish language greeting cards, as well as international calling cards, also can find what they are looking for here.
