HERMISTON - Friends to Friends went in to action a little sooner than they planned.

The newly formed organization within the Union Pacific Railroad Employees Club 19 (UPEC) presented fellow employee Shane Penska, his wife Michele and their 12-year-old son, Tyler, with a check for $500. The funds are for travel and other expenses after Tyler was hit by a truck on Highway 395 in Hermiston on the Fourth of July.
