A multi-agency warrant round-up netted 11 arrests Thursday night.

Hermiston Police Department, Boardman Police Department, Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team, Morrow County Sheriff's Office and Umatilla County Sheriff's Office worked in unison Thursday evening to nab nine people with outstanding warrants. Two suspects were also arrested on new charges in the course of the evening.

Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston said in an email that he was extremely proud of the officers and deputies who participated in the sweep.

“This inter-agency cooperation tonight is precisely what we were after,” he said. “Our citizens and visitors coming to Hermiston for the county fair will not have to deal with these 11 people.”

He said the agencies involved plan to make the event an annual one.

Officers and deputies spent the bulk of the evening in Hermiston but also visited Stanfield, Irrigon and Umatilla. The following people were lodged in the Umatilla County Jail:

Darryl B. Lanphear, 35 of Hermiston; Carlos J. Barragan, 35, Hermiston; Dustin G. Sanders, 31, Hermiston; Jillian M. Moore, 28, Hermiston; Isidro F. Alvarez, 55, Hermiston; James W. Bell, 39, Hermiston; Gustavo Lopez, 22, Umatilla; Chad A. Brown, 34, Hermiston; Jose Garcia, 20, Stanfield; Kevin Melendez, 19, Umatilla, arrested for disorderly conduct in the second degree; and Jose Carillo Robles, 21, Irrigon arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.
