HERMISTON - The state Department of Energy will offer a free workshop next week focusing on ways to get the best performance out of roofs and walls.

Topics include building methods for insulation, air sealing and weatherization. The event also covers the building process and costs related to those.

Casey Bradley, a technical specialist with Earth Advantage Institute, and Barry Lindsey, a carpenter with Coho Construction Services, are the two main instructors.

The event begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Hermiston Conference Center at 415 S. Highway 395 in Hermiston.
