PASCO, Wash. — Police are investigating a shooting after a Pasco police officer shot an alleged burglary suspect while on patrol.

Pasco Police Capt. Ken Roske said the officer was responding to a burglary Wednesday afternoon when he saw three people leaving the scene. The officer pursued the suspects on foot.

Roske said the officer fired on one suspect believed to have a gun when the suspect turned around. A gun was later recovered.

The 19-year-old Pasco man was taken to Kadlec Medical Center in serious condition. The officer was unharmed.
