She was born July 6, 1928, in Big Flat, Arkansas, to John and Mintie (Sutterfield) Huckabee. She married Carba Sisk on October 13, 1945, in Oak Creek, Colorado. As a young mother, Alba was involved in her children’s school activities. Later, she worked outside the home as a retail sales clerk in several popular Pendleton stores. She was a great seamstress and made her children’s clothes. She took pride in making her daughters’ wedding dresses. After retiring, Carba and Alba enthusiastically embraced fishing. They spent many hours together in the Blue Mountains that they loved looking for the best fishing hole.

Alba spent many hours in her yard tending her roses and feeding the many hummingbirds. She was a long time member of Peace Lutheran Church.
