Daniel “Dhel” Hibbard passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Pioneer Memorial Hospital/Long Term Care in Heppner, Oregon, after two battles with cancer.
He was born February 13, 1951, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon, to James E. “Slim” Hibbard and Minnie L. Wood Hibbard. He was raised and educated in Pendleton.
He was married and divorced twice.
He is survived by his brother George “Levi” Hibbard; nieces Christy L. Munden of Pasco, Wash., and Kelly J. Buche of Electric City, Wash.; many cousins and relatives in Oregon, Washington and Texas; and trusted and admired friends Alan and Sherie Gregory of Heppner, Ore., Buz and Stacy Wainwright of Heppner, Ore., Bart and Jessica Lentz of Heppner, Ore., Tommy Lentz of Pasco, Wash., and many, many more.
He was predeceased by his father James, his mother Minnie, both sets of grandparents, other cousins and many friends.

At his request no funeral will be held in Heppner. Disposition was by cremation and a graveside inurnment service will be held March 4, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton, Oregon.
