Linda E. Walker died in Klamath Falls on Nov. 5, 2011, at the age of 58. A memorial service will be held on November 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston, Ore.

Linda was born in Pendleton on Jan. 10, 1953, to Henry F. and Doris N. (Keech) Walker. She grew up in Hermiston, where her family operated the Walker Melons farm. She was very proud of her family’s watermelon background. As an adult, she had several jobs including Simplot and Lamb Weston. She finally settled in Klamath Falls in 2005 to be near her children and grandchildren. Linda worked at Safeway and was most recently employed in the accounts payable dept. at Jeld-Wen. 

Linda always lived for others, contributing her time and money to many worthy causes. She was a very hardworking individual and was loved and admired by her family and coworkers. Family holiday gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren were especially important to her.

Linda is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Ryon and Sally Johnson of Portland, Randy Johnson and fiance Julie Dawson of Hermiston; daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Mel Mullaney of Damascus, Ore.; grandchildren: Katy, William, Alissa Johnson; Jessica Johnson, Matthew, Jesse, Sara Mullaney; Lukas Johnson, Morgan Gerbing, Jiliane Dawson; brother and sister-in-law Wes and Shelley Walker; sister and brother-in-law Donna and Chris Jones; half-sister and brother-in-law Betty and John Showalter; and special friend Ralph Nitson.
