Linda M. “Angel” Brown, a resident of Pendleton, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at a local care facility. She was 66 years old.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Sign the online condolence book at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.

Linda was born to Orman and Esther (Stevens) Tompkins in Medford, Oregon, on May 12, 1948. She was raised in Medford and Phoenix, Ore., where she graduated from Phoenix High School. She had been married to Al Vose, Larry Schafer and finally Gary Brown.

She worked as an educational assistant in Portland public schools for many years. Her hobbies included gardening, latch-hooking rugs and baking.

She is survived by her husband Gary Brown of Pendleton, Ore.; children Mark Vose of Escondido, Calif., Shaun Brown of Oregon City, Ore., Travis Brown and wife Jenny of Richland, Wash., and Todd Brown of Denver, Colo.; brother Dale Tompkins and wife Ann of Lake Oswego, Ore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Orman and Esther Tompkins and her sister Lois Hayes.
